This month, we welcome Rosemary O'Hara, a highly accomplished journalist and ACLU board member, to share her insights on the ACLU and how the Governor and Florida Legislature continue to attack the personal freedoms of marginalized groups.
We will also have in-depth discussions with the leaders of Districts 57, 58 and 59, focusing on the needs of each district and how members can get involved and begin the work needed to win elections this year and beyond.

From heartwarming to heartbreaking stories - personal perspectives and insights from the anti-ICE protests in Minnesota by Rev. Mike MacMillan, Faith United Church of Christ, Dunedin.
We will also have Earle Forde, Congressional candidate for D13, and Brandt Robinson, Congressional candidate for D13 speak about their platforms. All speakers will have time for Q & A after their own talks.

David grew up in Florida, the son of a pastor. In Congress, David focused on helping veterans and seniors, supporting law enforcement, protecting the environment, and bringing resources back to Florida. David’s work to clean up government corruption was featured on 60 Minutes.
David became nationally known for his independent streak, leading The Tampa Bay Times to write, “It’s refreshing to hear someone take on the system.” One Washington Post columnist famously penned, “Jolly speaks the truth.” And upon leaving Congress, another columnist wrote, “Farewell to the one Congressman willing to compromise.”
David has spent the last eight years as a political analyst on MSNBC. His work has been featured in Time, USA Today, Roll Call, The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, NBC, and The Tampa Bay Times. David received a Bachelor’s degree from Emory University and a Juris Doctor Cum Laude from George Mason.
A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Gerald Seipp is a member of the New York and Florida bars. He is Board Certified in Immigration Law, and has served on the Florida Bar’s Certification Committee.
Attorney Seipp is currently “Of Counsel” for the Maney | Gordon | Zeller, P.A. Clearwater, Florida Office. In addition to his 33 years of immigration practice, he taught the Immigration Law course for 15 years at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Currently, he is adjunct faculty for Stetson College of Law.
He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is listed in Best Lawyers in America. In 2014 AILA’s Mr. Seipp was the recipient of AILA’s Central Florida Chapter award for Excellence in the Practice of Immigration Law.

Rev. Hall-Perkins' comments will focus on the John Lewis "Good Trouble Lives On" event and the challenges we are now facing.
